We at Sixty Vocab believe that, fundamentally, there is a better way to learn.
Benjamin Franklin once said, “Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.”
And that’s what we do at Sixty Vocab - from the very first step of learning, we involve the learner.
Designed around the way people remember things, our personalized e-learning platform supports both teaching and learning, and adapts to any level of knowledge.
Whether you’re a student, an adult learner, or a hobbyist, there’s not a lot of supplements out there to help you conquer, or get better at, a foreign language. Out of the three stages to attaining knowledge, Sixty Vocab only takes care of the first stage, Memorization. Teachers and real-world experiences take care of the later stages, Understanding and Application (AKA - the fun stuff).
Born from the idea that 2,000 words equals 60% of a language, we set out to make learning a foreign language seem like a possible task.
Sixty Vocab is an interactive game for rapidly learning foreign language vocabulary. Our method enables the rapid retention of new foreign language words through the application of time-based discipline. (In other words, we help you learn faster by playing timed games.)
We wanted a way to learn foreign language vocab that quickly built on our existing language skills. We married that inspiration with sheer impatience for inefficient “downtime” -- waiting in line for the bus, at the coffee house for a latte, or even with our laptop in front of the television.
Why not use that time to pick up a new word or ten?
